This Privacy Policy explains what information DocTapir collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
DocTapir is an independent directory and comparison service for hospitals, health packages and room rates in Malaysia, available at doctapir.com. For any privacy question, contact us at doctapir@gmail.com.
Information we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. We do not require accounts and we do not process payments. The information we may collect is:
- Feedback you send us. If you use the feedback option, we collect your message, an optional satisfaction rating, the page you were on, and your email address only if you choose to provide it.
- Basic usage data. Like most websites, our host records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and working.
- Map usage. The interactive map loads its imagery from a third-party provider. Your browser contacts that provider directly, so it receives your IP address as part of serving the map.
How we use your information
We use the information above to respond to your feedback, fix errors you report, keep the site secure, and improve how DocTapir works. We do not use it for advertising profiles.
Third-party services
Some features rely on trusted third parties, each with its own privacy policy:
- Resend delivers the feedback you submit to us by email. Your message passes through their service on the way to our inbox.
- CARTO and OpenStreetMap provide the map tiles on our hospital map. They receive your IP address when the map loads.
- Hospital and external links. When you follow a link to a hospital or source website, that site’s own privacy policy applies. We are not responsible for external sites.
Cookies
DocTapir does not use tracking, profiling or advertising cookies. Browsing the site as a visitor sets no cookies at all. Essential cookies may be set by our hosting or caching layer if they are needed to serve pages correctly, and by WordPress if you log in as a site administrator. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except as needed to run the services above or where required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or request that we delete it, by emailing doctapir@gmail.com. Providing your email with feedback is always optional.
Children’s privacy
DocTapir is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
